In Chem+C project, we have developed four units that combine Chemistry and Computational Thinking (CT) in an 8th grade integrated science context.  The curriculum focuses on providing flexibility to the instructors and aims to support students from a diverse background. Students work with visual simulations representing a science phenomenon as well as the associated code-based model. We have taken an iterative design-based research approach and the development work involves working with students, instructors, and research experts in chemistry and education.
